1. About Flok

Flok is a bill-splitting and expense tracking app for flatmates, operated by David Oh, based in New Zealand. Flok helps you track shared expenses — it does not process, hold, or transfer money between users.

2. Eligibility

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your verification codes with anyone. Flok will never ask you for your verification code. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@flok.co.nz.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. Bill Splitting & Balances

Flok is a tracking tool only. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any balance calculations and are not responsible for any financial disputes between flatmates. Users are solely responsible for settling debts with each other. Flok does not facilitate any payments.

6. Notifications & SMS

By creating an account, you consent to receiving SMS verification codes. Push notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings. Standard carrier rates may apply to SMS messages.

7. Intellectual Property

All content within Flok — including the name, logo, design, and code — is owned by David Oh. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of Flok without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Flok is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Flok and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including financial disputes between flatmates.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Flok after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
